Papermacheta is the artist and brand name I gave myself in 2020, thinking it'd be cool to combine the words for papier-mâché and machete. My vibe and aesthetic ended up being pretty different from that, but the name stuck!
I'm a Korean-American digital artist, illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles, California. With a love for good food, arts & crafts, audiobooks, anime, manga, cartoons, music and video games.
I've been in online fandoms since I was 13 years old on Tumblr, started with cartoons like Adventure Time, Total Drama and Gravity Falls. Ever since then, I've been online and found a huge community of fans I call my friends, and I've loved the moments and experiences I've gotten to share with them. One of my biggest inspirations for opening this shop was exploring artist alleys as a kid and being star-struck by all the amazing merch and art I found and bought, and I knew that's exactly what I wanted to do someday.
My art shop consists of art, merchandise, acessories and stationary. I plan to keep on expanding and experimenting with more products going forward.
